Biography of Amy-Jo Bezuidenhout

Amy-Jo Bezuidenhout’s drummie career started in 1996 at Stirling High School.

Some of her achievements as part of a Drum Majorette squad include:

Winning the SA Nationals in 1997, placing 3rd at Nationals in 1998, 1999 & 2000 and becoming Stirling High’s flag leader in 1999.

Amy attended indoor championships in 1999, 2000 & 2001, receiving silver for non-prop display in 1999. In 1997 and 1999, Amy obtained Honours cum laude and Honours in 1998 & 2000. As well as receiving honours in 1998, Amy also received her provincial colours. Moving on to earning the Principles Medal for excellence in sport in 2001.

In 2008, Amy started Drummies at Lilyfontein School, taking them to their first Nationals where the team placed 4th overall.

In 2014, Amy obtained her Colours as a Trainer.
